Concia Chachacha

I am as free as the night
I sleep with the sun
I am a girl of the night
That the moon awakens
Free as the stars
When comes the twilight
I drop the veil
Inviting the moon
I like to dance in the rain
And to pass between the drops
They caress my hair
And flow underneath my eyes
Dancing under the sun
And its sweet warmth
That dries my linen (clothes)
And grows my flowers
Ah! The sounds (noises) of the camp site
When in the evening the night comes
The squeaking of the base of the beds
Cuddles under the pillow,
I like the smell of grilled meats
And the crackling of the fire
When the flames embrace
The sausages on the fire
And the song of the birds
When we sit down at the table
Their melody blends with
The hubbub of the arguments
And at night the nutcases
Who stare through the portholes (scuttles)
The young ladies (girls) half naked
Through the drapes (curtains)
The shadow of the trailers
Under the gleam of the lightning
The electric breakdowns
Under the rumbles of thunder
Running in the wind
That blows away the foliage
The squeaking of the trees
Where squirrels make their nests
I don't know the sea
Nor "midnight bath" ("bains de minuit" is a French expression for people going to swim naked in the sea at night...

very popular among young people)
But I dream at night
That it invades my bed
I lay down on the sand
And I tan in the sun
